You can make your box closes itself after a specific amount of time using the Actions page.
Edit your box, go to the Actions tab, press the Add Action, and then set "After Open" in Event, select "Close a Box" in Action then set "This Box" in Box and finally set the seconds after which the box will close.
Note
This action mimics the top right (x) closing button.
